J. S. Bach Prelude in C Major Recomposed

$10.00

Inspired by Alexander Siloti’s (1863 - 1945) Prelude in B minor, which was an arrangement of JS Bach’s (1685 - 1750) Prelude in E minor.  This miniature yet succinct piece has been recomposed bar for bar, slowed from a semiquaver to a quaver ostinato with a similar but not exact underlying harmony to create a familiar tonal shape and storyline.  It is both affectionate and delicate, giving listeners and pianists a new experience of Bach’s beloved Prelude in C Major.

For solo piano - intermediate level
