Like many of the pieces I compose, Nocturne is inspired by the night. Possibly as it’s a time that feels more spacious and therefore gives room for creativity. It’s one of my happier and lighter sounding pieces that can be enjoyed solo or with a friend on a second piano to add a third layer to a small handful of bars in the middle.
